High waisted shorts; love them or hate them?
I personally like high waisted shorts, but it depends- I don’t think they look that great with tights xP.. and since it’s winter and I live on the east coast of the US, it’s not really climate appropriate. Would you be willing to wear them in public? If so, with what?

I think a ruffled tee would look cute, maybe a belt to sinch the waist where the shorts meet the shirt and a pair of gladiator sandals. I love the vintage look to them.. <33 Your opinions?
When the weather gets better I will most definitely be wearing mine C: I don’t care what others think of what I wear, if I like it- that’s all that matters. I’m totally into the retro pin up vintage look x)

It’s nice to express yourself through clothing, if you feel comfortable and you like how you look, and how it feels go for it, be proud of what you wear, fashion has no written laws, if it did, we’d still be in the dresses of the 1800’s

I don’t like them to be honest .. it just reminds me of something my grandmother would wear :/

Personally? I dislike them. I live on southern east coast so it is appropriate to wear them, I just don’t particularly think they look good.

High waists are just not comfortable. They squish your organs. I’m so tired of recycling old styles.

no… i think they only look good in magazines, but not daily wear…
i like your ruffled tee outfit, and it would look nice at a country club or something. but school or hanging out on a weekend? not so much. great outfit otherwise :) Twilight Luvr | Jan 31, 2010

I really hate the high-waisted shorts, because they make your stomach looks larger than it is, and unless your stomach in concave, it makes you looks pudgey, which is never good…

If it goes with a sort of vintage outfit, then I like them. But yeah, I don’t like them with tights. Lol I live on the east coast of the US too, I’m wishing winter was over now.

I love them, but they look better on other people. XD
I like maybe more of a sailorish look, idk. I’m not much of a fashion risk taker xD
Highwaisted skirts are the bomb though.
it was like fire around the rim. | Jan 31, 2010

i like high-waist anything.
yes, i know what you mean, i live in nyc and it’s freezing. D: however, lots of girls still walk down the streets wearing them with some boots. (:

makes your stomach look big, it highlights it, that is never good.

http://www.whowhatwear.com/website/full- article/how-they-wear-high-waisted-short s/

Hope the website helps! Also, if you wear them right they can look very cute! I think a ruffled tee or a very cute tank tucked into high wasted shorts with a thin belt and a cardigan would be really cute! Hope I helped!

I personally don’t like them. They’re not good to wear…Once I wore them, and I couldn’t run really, or sit comfortable.
Lina? | Jan 31, 2010

im not really a fan…i like high waisted skirts though
aardvark | Jan 31, 2010

I think the outfit you described would be SUPER CUTE!
I would soo wear them in public like that:) but not for a couple of months at least because i live in WISCONSIN (brrrrrr)
And i also think you should have a decent (doesn’t have to be stick-skinny) but decent body to pull off high-waisted anything. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but obviously they accentuate your waist, so you should have a smallish waist.. but confidence is even more important esp. with trendy styles like this!

I also picture them being worn with retro-ish hair, like big, loose curls and a headband!
BabyLoveBoon | Jan 31, 2010

I love them, to be honest. I don’t know if I would wear them, just because I couldn’t pull them off. But, I’d pair it with these things:

Who is more deadly, Conan the Barbarian or Obama the Destroyer.?

Conan the Barbarian was a great hero; Obama is just a poor old lawyer wannabe who is seeking the approval of his Muslim brothers by destroying the United States. But not to worry, the Tax-Enough-Already tea parties are going to drown him in the White House`s water fountain, only instead of water it will be filled with tea and the sweat of Americans who actually work.
