what did you guys think of the movie "sid and nancy" was it anygood and did they get the story right?

They changed some things around…I know Johnny Lydon (Rotten) was pissed at the movie and the inaccuracies…

But overall, I loved that movie, Gary Oldman was brilliant at what we thought Sid Vicious was…and Chloe Webb as Nancy was incredibly annoying, just perfect!

Plus there was a Siouxie Sioux (not really her) cameo!

Did they get the story right? For the most part yes, I think Alex Cox got the spirit of their relationship right. I mean it was a film about two people who were toxic to each other but inseperable, which is who Sid and Nacy were.

Same reason they call certain others "whites" even tho none are really white. And they have also called First Nations "red" and they ain’t even remotely red….unless sunburned of course.

Are Chinese Yellow ? American Indians Red ? No - it’s descriptions people use that they learnt from a more bigoted earlier generation, as they grew up. I believe the color of people is used as a generalization rather than to accurately describe the actual color of individuals skin.
