I think she is reminding us that we, like the wild geese, are first and foremost animals. We inhabit the same world as other animals and we , like them, should respond to our environment in a natural, animalistic way.

Animals don’t have a concept of right and wrong; they don’t have regrets; they don’t punish themselves for behavior that is in their nature. She is telling us that we should exult in our bodies and not not be ashamed of them.

I'm afraid to have a friend over because of how my mom may act?
I planned a sleep over with my best friend tonight, it’s at my house.
However, I didn’t know my mom was going to have one of those "days."
I don’t know if my mom has some sort of psychological problem, but she goes on a rampage when something goes wrong. This morning something her cousin said something that pissed her off. All day she’s been ranting to herself about her cousin, with her arms flailing through the air, cursing and flashing out at everyone.

If it’s your best friend just be honest with her. Tell her your mom is having a bad day and might act a little irrationally but to just ignore it. My mom was psycho when I was growing up and when she’d do stuff like this when I had friends over we’d just ignore her.

I would honestly give your friend the choice. Just call up your friend or go to the park or something and sit her down and say something like, ‘Hey, my mom’s been struggling these past few days, and she’s been really upset. When she gets upset, she becomes pretty unpredictable, and if you don’t want to witness it, it’s okay if you just want to reschedule and we can hang another time.’

The heat of the sun grew more on her pale white skin as she walked , looking every direction she could. The cry of the wolf became louder and stronger as she tried to escape it. It is very descriptive and pretty well written. There are a few grammar problems, though. Like you shouldn’t use a "&" in that context when it’s in a story. Also, the last two sentences would do better if they were joined together like this: "Her tears began to escape her eyes until, suddenly, something with black as death eyes caught her attention."

Also, the first sentence uses a lot of "her" "she", etc. It would sound better like this: "As the sun rose, her black eyes filled with hatred and her hair was drowned by the tears she had cried."

The first thing that I noticed was that wolves do not howl in the morning. They only howl at night which is actually a form of communication letting area females know that he, the howling male, is available and for competing males to stay away.

You must be careful when combining images in a sentences. "Nothing in sight" is a visual thing whereas ‘the distant howling of a wolf’ is not. The word ‘except’ gives the reader a clue that both things are seen by the girl.

The heat of the sun does not grow on the skin. Light is a more suitable word.

If I were writing this, I would avoid stating the same thing more than once.

As the sun rose, her black eyes filled with hatred. Her tears had fallen like an endless rain on her long, sodden tresses. Alone and cold, she watched the sun rise in the nothingness all around her. The distant howls of a creature could be heard as she shivered and walked.

She felt the heat of the sun on her pale, white skin as she kept moving, looking every direction. Hearing the approaching cries that grew louder and louder, she crouched down to hide her tall thin body and grabbed her ears and screamed back at the howls. With tears streaming down her face, she opened her teary eyes to see something black as death itself before her…

A predicament to say the least.?
Im 19 and already I feel like my life might aswell end here. It sounds depressing but thats becasue it is, at age 16 i met a girl who i was really good friends with then she started fancying me ande started making out, i wasnt that in interested at first, she wasn’t my type, but then i gave in and agreed to go out with her, it was an intense 2 and a half years to be honest but she helped me study and pass my exams as i did with her but she was is alot smarter than me ill get to that shortly. i broke up with her half way through that time for a few months and then i missed her alot adn realised what i had for a friend and a partner i genuinely thought she was the one.

Eventually the strain of growing up in this day and age go the better of us both i got jealous and paranoid when she started going out more and she ended up cheating on me the night before christmas eve, i found out because i was ringing her tryign to get hold of her that night and she accidently answered and she didn’t realise, i overheard her talking to her friend on the other end and she was talking about how she felt bad about it because her friend liked him and my first thought was why she didnt feel bad that it might upset me so needless to say christmas 2008 was a miserable one it got to the weekend and got invited out, i decided two wrongs make a right and kissed this other girl i didnt tell my girlfriend at the time and she still doesnt know to this day, being the selfish guy that i am i never informed her of this instead i just went on with things a and pretended she was in the wrong and kept having a go at her and being rude to her in general because i was so hurt then she started spending alot of time with her best friend who is a guy and could drive which at the time i couldnt, i then found a text on her phone saying "i cant see you cause i think i have feelings for you" me and my gf then argued i then spoke to the guy and asked him if there was anythign going on and told him not to tell my gf i had asked but he decided he would.

This led to me and her breaking up because she felt like i couldnt trust her, turns out 4 months later that they were getting on each other and the guy decided to lie to me, granted its 6 of 1 and half a dozen of another i shouldnt have got so paranoid and cheated on her but then she shouldnt have cheated on me and lied to me like she did and neither shoudl have he.

Anyway theres alot more to tell but it doesnt matter anymore the point is i then went on to fail my exams and drop out of school ive got a part time job in retail and ive saved up money to go abroad in june but its come to the point where the guy im giong abroad with who is my friend doesnt sound that interested in going i feel like ive got no friends as theyve all gone off to uni and made new friends i dont have the confidence i used to have to chat to girls, its nearly a year to the day that we broke up, i miss her every single day, ive had a relationship with another girl but that finished last month and i still cant stop thinking about my ex ex. Shes officially with her best friend that lied to me now as of today, that hurts alot.

It sounds selfish cause there are people worse off than me but my heart just aches everyday i think about her and the fact that i’ve gone from speaking to her for hours in one day to not speaking to her at alll just kills me, my life isnt going anywhere anymore, i had a plan in my life and its all gone to nothing, no friends, no girls, no phonecalls, no confidence, no career, no life, no prospects, barely finding a reason to get out of bed in the days the only thing i have to look forward to is june when i go away for two months but when i come back ill be broke and still be stuck in a dead end job, i dont want to go to uni really i just doesnt seem to interest me getting a degree in something ill never use. The days go by and i get more miserable when i just want to be liked and get some real friends i used to be really popular in school, hang out with anyone and everyone i dont have that same environment when i go to work because its in the nights in a retailer i get awkward when i go up to girls because i dont know how to be around them anymore and they just end up not wanting to talk to me i dont even feel like i look good anymore like i used to. I get days when my confidence is at an all time high and i get excited, then theres the days when i just feel like the lowest of the low what am i dont wrong what can i do to improve things i just feel soo crap and useless and nothing these days i just want to get out of this house and just see the world and it seems like im the only person whose pationate about doing so out of my friends, i hate feeling sorry for myself but i guess im only doing it to see if i can get some attention.. how very sad.

I need help finding a new barn?
Okay, so I’ve been doing hunters for the last 5 1/2 years of my life, last year I left my old barn took a year off from showing and got my own horse, and now I’m ready to show again. But, there’s a problem! I want to do jumpers and all the freaking barns in a 150 mile radius of my house are hunter barns with -98654385 jumpers. The only barns that do jumpers don’t even go to rated shows, so it’s pretty much pointless. The only three places I could find that did jumpers that could be a possibility had issues.

The first one is right between my mom’s house and my dad’s house and is about an hour away from both. It’s mostly a hunter barn, but they have some jumpers there.

The second one is about 30 mins away from my mom’s house (which is where i stay all week). And has jumpers, but I’m sure they go to very few rated shows and I’m not sre if their instruction is the best quality.

The third barn is like 45 mins away from my dad’s house and the lessons are taught by a grand prix rider, so this barn is nearly all jumpers. I really like it, but the issue there is the ads say that they do trailer in lessons or they come to you if they live in the area (i don’t live near enough to that barn or have a trailer), but they still might have some horses to take lessons on.

Soo, those are my options. LOL and I really don’t want to do hunters again, it’s not my thing.. I want to do medals and jumpers.

My dad called the first place already and left a message, so they’ll probably call back tommarow.

All the good jumper barns are in the northern region of my state. My section is hunters, and the rest of the state is eventers (w/like Karen O’Connor) and some other really good riders.

Oh and my last option is to just register my dad as my trainer and go to all the shows with him. HAHA (just kidding!)

So, please guys, help me out what should I do?!?!
Sorry there was so much to read, I ust have no one else to really talk to about this.
